What it is
A menu bar utility for people who run local models.
Process Radar sits in your menu bar as Radar². It shows a live color-coded memory pressure strip, names you can read for model servers and fine-tunes, memory that lines up with Activity Monitor, and quit controls for processes you own. No account. Runs entirely on your Mac.
Live pressure strip
A color-coded memory bar in the menu — same scale as Activity Monitor. Top processes paint the graph so you see pressure at a glance.
Real AI names
Not just python or llama-server. Radar labels model servers, agents, and fine-tunes (LoRA, SFT, Unsloth, and other common tools) from live process signals.
Quit what you own
Quit or force-quit your processes from the menu bar. Root/system helpers are marked protected — no silent fail.
Install
Getting started
- 01Download the zip and double-click it to unzip — Process Radar.app will appear in your Downloads folder.
- 02Drag Process Radar.app to your Applications folder.
- 03Double-click Process Radar.app in Applications to launch it. macOS may ask if you want to open it — click Open.
- 04Radar² appears in your menu bar (top-right). Click it for the pressure strip, top RAM, model servers, and fine-tunes.
- 05To quit and remove it from the menu bar: click Radar² → Quit Process Radar.
- 06To uninstall completely: quit the app, then drag Process Radar.app from Applications to the Trash.
Requirements: macOS 13 or later. Apple silicon recommended. Signed and notarized for Gatekeeper. Move the app to Applications before first launch.
