Overview
This policy explains how BORROW, developed by Derrington Collaborative Synthetic Intelligence Labs (D-CSIL), handles information. BORROW does not collect personal data. It does not include advertising, third-party analytics, cross-app tracking, or a D-CSIL account system, and D-CSIL does not operate a server that receives your gameplay.
Data Stored on Your Device
BORROW stores the puzzles you’ve played, your moves, hints, times, statistics, streaks and Journey progress on your iPhone or iPad, along with your settings such as theme, sound and hint level. This information is used to resume games and show your statistics. If you turn on the daily reminder, it is a local notification scheduled on your device; BORROW sends no push notifications. Deleting the app deletes all of this.
Apple Game Center
Game Center is optional. If you are signed in, BORROW uses Apple GameKit to authenticate your Game Center player, show the Game Center access point, submit your daily puzzle scores and all-time totals (perfect solves, longest streak, Journey stars) to BORROW’s leaderboards, report achievement progress, and open challenges you create or accept with friends. Apple processes Game Center data under Apple’s privacy terms. If you are not signed in, BORROW sends nothing to Game Center.
Apple Privacy PolicyApple Intelligence
On supported devices, BORROW can use Apple’s on-device model to phrase hints and understand practice requests you type. This runs on your device through Apple’s framework. BORROW gives it only the words already on your board and what a hint is allowed to reveal. You can turn it off in BORROW’s Settings.
Sharing
When you tap Share, BORROW creates a card with your numbers — moves, hints and time — never the puzzle’s words or clues. It goes only where you send it, through the standard share sheet.
What BORROW Does Not Collect
BORROW does not request access to your contacts, photos, messages, email, camera, microphone, or location. It does not use an advertising identifier, sell personal information, or share gameplay data with advertising or data-broker services.
Children
BORROW is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children.
Support Communications
If you email D-CSIL for support, the information you choose to send is used to respond to your request and troubleshoot the reported issue. Do not include information that is not needed for support.
Policy Changes
If BORROW adds services that materially change how information is handled, this page will be updated before those changes are released.
