The 2025 backup contains verifiable checkpoints and results sufficient to anchor the HX research program.

Read-only audit of the 2025-08-21 backup (186,859 files, 142.8GB) on 24TB MEGA: integrity-check every checkpoint, index experiments, reconstruct the architecture history.

• →54/54 model checkpoints intact (37.6GB, PyTorch fp32); 0 corrupt.
• →Best documented result: d512 recurrent core at PPL 10.2, step 5500 (958 → 10.2 from step 500).
• →Two architecture families confirmed: recurrent bio-core (13.5M–84.4M) and a 163M transformer control (only 1,000 steps).

• ·Discrepancy flagged: 'fixed_best_verified.pth' is byte-identical to the step-5000/PPL-12.2 checkpoint, not the PPL-10.2 one.
• ·~30.7GB of duplicate files identified; nothing deleted.

The 2025 record is real, intact, and indexed — including its one labeling discrepancy, which is now part of the record.
