TL;DR
Magnific (formerly Freepik) launched Magnific One on October 8: an image model that decides the art direction before it generates anything, so the result carries a visual sensibility instead of just matching the prompt. A companion Brand Kit extracts your logo, palette, typography, and tone from your site or guidelines PDF, then applies it to every image you make.

Art direction comes first
On October 8, Magnific announced Magnific One, an image model built around one idea: settle the art direction before generating the image. You type a simple prompt, the model makes the aesthetic calls a human art director would make, and what comes back has a visual sensibility of its own rather than a literal picture of your words.
The company's framing is blunt about the problem: a lot of AI imagery ends up looking lifeless and unoriginal. “Most image models are very good at making the picture you described. Magnific One makes the picture you would have arrived at with a good art director in the room,” said Martin LeBlanc, Magnific's Chief Experience Officer. The model is aimed at vivid, lifelike, original output — the calls are the model's job, the idea and the style are yours.
Brand Kit handles consistency
Launching alongside the model is Brand Kit, which solves the less glamorous half of creative work: keeping everything on-brand. Hand it a website, a guidelines PDF, a few images, or a written description, and an agent extracts the logo, palette, typography, imagery, and tone into a first version of the kit.
The team reviews and refines that draft — the human keeps the final say — and then Magnific One applies it to every image it generates. If you run a product, a game, or a site and need a steady stream of visuals that actually match each other, that's the part that saves real time.
Available now, and who's behind it
Magnific One is available today on all of the company's paid plans worldwide: on the web, in the desktop and mobile apps, and through the Magnific MCP, so AI agents and coding assistants can call it too. The product page lays out a three-step workflow: set up a Brand Kit, create with the model, then finish the image with Magnific's editing tools.
Magnific is the AI platform that relaunched from Freepik in 2026 — founded in Malaga in 2010 — and says it now serves more than one million paid subscribers worldwide, bundling image, video, 3D, and audio models with over 200 million licensed assets. This is its bid to own the creative-professional end of image generation, where taste and consistency matter more than prompt cleverness.
